Connect using FTP or FTPS

Find credentials, use encrypted transfers and troubleshoot empty listings.

Open FTP/MySQL for this server. Use its displayed host, port and username, not your hosting account password. FTPS is FTP with TLS; it is not SFTP.

Step by step

  1. Copy the connection details from FTP/MySQL. Reveal or copy the password only when needed.
  2. In the client, choose FTP with explicit TLS when supported and use the port shown by the panel.
  3. Use the node hostname shown for TLS connections. Verify unexpected certificate warnings rather than ignoring them.
  4. After login, open server for runtime files or backups for archives.
  5. If credentials have been shared accidentally, regenerate the FTP password in the panel and reconnect.

Check the result

For empty or stalled listings, try passive mode and check the client log for TLS or data-connection errors. Include that log, without passwords, in a support request.

Important

Unencrypted FTP can expose your credentials and files. Prefer FTPS. Password regeneration disconnects sessions using the old credentials.
