Set up two-factor authentication and passkeys

Authenticator codes, recovery codes and passwordless sign-in.

Two-factor authentication protects password sign-ins. Passkeys use your device or security key as a separate sign-in method.

Step by step

Open Settings and select Two-factor authentication.
Scan the QR code with your authenticator and confirm a current code.
After successful confirmation, store or download the displayed backup codes before acknowledging them. They are shown only once.
To add a passkey, open the Passkeys category and follow the device prompt. Keep a recovery method available.

Check the result

Try signing in on a second browser before removing old recovery methods. Keep your authenticator device time synchronized.

Important

Backup codes are secrets and are consumed when used. Do not send them to support or store them in a public server folder.
