A proxy routes players to backend game servers; it does not run a normal Minecraft world. The Properties tool adapts to supported BungeeCord configurations.
Step by step
- Create the proxy and backend servers with compatible versions.
- In the proxy Properties tool, add a backend manually or select an eligible server from your account.
- Review its parsed name, current address and player limits.
- Where supported, use the backend proxy-mode control to update the existing Spigot flag and corresponding properties.
- Protect backend access before allowing players to join through the proxy.
Check the result
Test joining through the proxy and switching to each backend. Recheck addresses after a restore or allocation change.
Important
Proxy forwarding and offline-mode backends need protection against direct access and identity spoofing. Do not simply disable online-mode on a publicly reachable backend; ask support about a suitable network restriction.
