Inspect and edit NBT files

Navigate level.dat, scoreboard data and supported region files.

Supported NBT files open in the integrated tree editor. The root is labeled with the filename.

Step by step

Download a backup of the file and preferably stop the server.
Open the file in Files and expand compound or list entries to find the intended value.
Change only values whose meaning and data type you understand.
Save, reopen the file and check the result before starting the server.

Check the result

If a format or compression variant is not supported, use a compatible external NBT tool instead of treating the file as text.

Important

Saving while online is possible, but the running game may overwrite your edit or hold an inconsistent state. The online warning remains relevant.
