Use a dedicated IP address

Understand the difference from shared-IP port allocations.

Dedicated IP availability and pricing depend on the plan and node. Some plans can require it instead of offering a choice.

Step by step

Review the dedicated-IP option or requirement in the configurator.
Check the price, confirm the change and wait for completion.
Use the IP displayed afterwards. Configure your applications within the permitted dedicated port range.
Keep the Minecraft container binding at 0.0.0.0 rather than writing the external dedicated IP into server.properties.

Check the result

The hosting network handles the external address mapping. Update external integrations after an IP change.

Important

A dedicated IP does not provide root access or a dedicated physical machine. It does not make insecure services safe to expose.
