Manage and upgrade backup space

Understand what counts toward your backup allowance.

Everything stored in /backups counts as backup usage, including files uploaded over FTP. It does not belong to the normal server storage allowance.

Step by step

Check the current usage and limit in Backups.
Download needed archives before deleting old ones.
If offered by your type, open Upgrade backup space and choose the additional capacity.
Review the price and runtime basis, then confirm.

Check the result

Wait for usage to refresh after transfers or deletions. When the quota is full, further writes can be blocked.

Important

Do not rely on a renamed or non-archive file becoming restorable just because it is inside /backups.
